Portrait of Kristiina Almy

About

I'm a Massachusetts-based illustrator with more than 20 years of experience in visual communication and design. Drawing on a strong design foundation, I create thoughtful, engaging illustrations that help brands, publications, and organizations communicate ideas with clarity, warmth, and personality.

I specialize in editorial and branding illustration, creating work characterized by vibrant color, clean composition, and a playful, printmaking-inspired aesthetic. As a second-generation Finnish American, I'm drawn to the beauty of simple moments, connections to nature, and visual storytelling that celebrates both the ordinary and the meaningful. These influences often find their way into my work, whether I'm illustrating a complex concept or capturing a small moment of everyday joy.

I enjoy collaborating closely with clients to understand their goals and bring their ideas to life. Whether I'm illustrating an article, developing branded visuals, or creating custom artwork, my goal is to create imagery that is both engaging and purposeful—work that not only captures attention but also strengthens the story being told.

When I'm not in the studio, you'll usually find me exploring the outdoors, experimenting with new creative techniques, traveling, or finding inspiration in the details of everyday life.

I'd love to hear about your project. Contact me at kristiina@kristiinaalmy.com.
